Tote with Six Coordinating cards

I was asked to design another class for Community Ed. I am so thankful for this opportunity. I wanted to do something unique - so came up with this. It is a tote/purse with six cards - all made out of the More Mimi paper collection. I had so much fun putting these cards together.

I may have to offer this class to my existing customers too!

Tag, You're It - Blog Hop!

This blog hop is sponsored by Paper Wings - an all Angel Company group for sharing projects and inspiration.

When you buy our paper packs, you get a sheet of tags and embellishments. I know a lot of you don't know what to do with them! Well - check out this Blog Hop for ideas!

When you go to these blogs, you will get LOTS of ideas! Have fun!
My two cards are very different from each other.

One is has a base of a lunch bag - made into a 'pocket' card. I used the Juliette paper/tags on this one. I used a tag on the front for the sentiment, as well as on the pocket piece as a 'tab'. Super easy! The stamp sets used on this one were Bountiful Bears and Beary Much.

The other is a quick and easy Christmas card. Lots of layers using our Reece paper pack. The only stamping was on the tag. I stamped the Christmas tree with a very versatile stamp set called For All Seasons. The sentiment is from the stamp set Tag Tidbits - which I use ALL THE TIME for small areas. There are so many different sentiments in this set - it is just fabulous!

The stamp sets used are Floral Collage Trio and Tag Tidbits - I use this stamp set all the time! It is perfect for a greeting in a small place! I colored with COPICS - and used the Color Dusters with Belle Rose to soften the white background. The patterned paper is Maggie.

For your Shower!

Yikes - I can't believe how long it has been since I posted a card. SO SORRY!

I have a wedding shower today - and came up with this card using our Oh No She Didn't stamp set. I thought it turned out cute! Colored with COPICS - of course! Not sure where the patterned paper is from - other than my Stash! I am not sure who made the Sentiment either - sorry. I unmounted all of my Wood Mounted stamps so don't have the original one!

Here are links to the other Blogs. Have Fun hopping around!

This card was made using our new double-sided paper called Maggie! The stamp set used is Joyful Ornaments - and the inks I used on this one are Charcoal and Moulin Rouge. The base cardstock is one of our new Bazzill solid color paper packs - Saguaro.

This next card was made using the stamp sets Holiday Collages and Tag Tidbits. I stamped with the Rich Cocoa Memento stamp pad, and used a fancy scissors for cutting! I used Reece paper and cardstock, as well as Kraft cardstock for the base. For the final touch, I sprayed with Gold Shimmer spritz.

This project is a Gift Card holder. The stamp sets used on this were Winter Tags and Ornamental Snowflakes. I used Amberley Grace paper and cardstock, colored with COPICS and sprayed with Silver Shimmer spritz. The snowflakes were stamped with the Beaux Arts Blue stamp pad.

The patterned paper used is Amberley Grace, and I also used Amberley Grace cardstock.

Simple Gift Card Holder

I have been getting ready for my Christmas in July workshop (it will actually be in August - but Christmas in July sounds better!!!). We learned how to make this simple gift card holder at TAC Seminar. I have changed it up a bit from what we did there. The base for the design is the Sydney Circle Album. The stamping I did was with Holiday Cheer and Edge Designs. With the price being reduced on the Sydney Circle Album - this is a GREAT way to create a LOT of gift card holders! You can never start too early, right?

New Stamp Sets!!!!

I have been playing in my Stamping Room today - and am having fun with my new stamps! Here are a couple of the cards I made today.

The first card was made with Bugs and Butterflies. I colored the butterfly with Watercolor Crayons, and highlighted with our Stardust Glitter Pen. The patterned paper on this is from Uptown Girl. This layout was inspired by a card made by Debra Miller!!! Thanks for the inspiration, Debra!
The second card is from one of my absolutely FAVORITE new sets - called Tail Feathers. I colored with COPICS. Thank you to Chelsea Corner for giving me some tips at TAC Seminar! I hope to continue improving on my coloring skills with these markers.

Graduation Card using Take Pride

This stamp set is another of my favorites that is being retired - it is called Take Pride. The sentiment is perfect for a Graduation card (of which I have four to attend in June!) I stamped with the Memento Tuxedo Black stamp pad, colored with COPICS, and of course embellished with Scrappers Floss and tiny brads. The cardstock used is from the Grays Monochromatic pack. I also used the Labels One Nestabilties. For a different look, I used my paper trimmer to slice off one side of the Label.

Masculine Card Blog Hop

This month's Paper Wings Blog Hop has the theme of Masculine Cards. Paper Wings is an ALL Angel Company group where can get inspiration for cards and projects made with our products!

For this card, I used one of retiring (sadly) stamp sets called Happy Day. I colored it with Watercolor Pencils and layered with our Winchester paper pack. I also used our Labels Four Nestabilities dies - I just LOVE these things! I am quickly becoming addicted (and a collector!) of them.

Be sure to visit the blogs of the other participants to get even MORE inspiration for those Masculine Cards!

Gerbera Daisy Nestabilities Style

I was so surprised to see the Gerbera Daisy stamp on the list of stamps to be discontinued for the new catalog! The card here is for my 'Farewell' workshop later this month. Participants will make 5 cards using some of my FAVORITE retiring stamp sets.

To make this card I stamped with the Tuxedo Memento Stamp pad, colored with COPICS, and the diecuts are made from the Nestabilities Labels 5 set! I used the fabulous and bright paper pack - More Mimi - on this card!

With Sympathy

As I was going through some things today, I found a box of cards I saved from when my mother passed away a little over a year ago. It made me remember how comforting those handmade sympathy cards were during that tragic time.

You don't realize how much it is appreciated - but it is so very comforting to receive a handmade card during the difficult time of loss.

I have created a simple Sympathy card to share with you today. I used the Bazzill Monochromcatic Violet papers, Lavender Sachet and Violette Palette Ink Pads, and stamps from Swirly Gigs (soon retiring) and With Sympathy. You can't really tell in the picture - but I also highlighted a bit with our clear Stardust Glitter Pen

Wow - another paper pack being offered as a Buy One get one FREE opportunity! This time, Reece! The regular price is $6.95 per pack - in April you'll get TWO packs for that price!!!! I love the dark, rich colors of this paper pack. Also available (but not on sale) are the coordinating cardstock, ribbon and hardware.

Cards using Reece

Here are a couple of cards I made using the Reece paper pack and cardstock.

The first card features a stamp set introduced in Serendipity - it is called Little Bird. I absolutely LOVE this set! The images and sentiments are ones you will use over and over again! I colored the image with Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils. Again - you will notice a tag featured on this card!

The second card features no stamping - it simply shows off our wonderful patterened paper! Accessories used on this card include Bitty Blossoms (Garden), red button (non TAC), Red Scrappers Floss, and Reece Ribbon. I sponged the flower with the Bordeaux Palette ink pad.

Family Scrapbook Page

Did you you notice I incorporated a Tag on this page too? I just love that extra page of embellishments included in each paper pack!!!!

More Mimi paper - BOGO in March!!!!!

Here are a couple of cards that I made using our More Mimi paper pack. This FABULOUS double-sided paper pack is on sale - Buy One get one FREE in March. What a great opportunity to purchase this wonderful selection of paper. I am planning a workshop in April - so have been playing with these papers. Here are a couple of cards I have made using this yummy paper pack!

On the first card, I used both sides of one sheet (creme with floral print and light brown). I used one of my favorite stamp sets -
All Things of Nature and colored with my COPIC markers. The second card I used two different sheets - one showing off both sides (the center square). I paper pieced the snail on this one, and highlighted it using the Stardust Glitter Gel pens. The snail and saying are from the stamp set Doodlebugs.

Hello Sweet Baby

A friend needed a baby card - so I was playing with one of my new Serendipity Stamp Sets called Bountiful Bears. I used Toodle Loo paper and the saying is from the Hello Baby stamp set. Of course I finished it off by stamping on the Toodle Loo tag, and embellishing with Scrappers Floss - my absolutely FAVORITE embellishment!!!!!! I did my coloring with COPIC markers - I just love these things...... and since they dry right away - I was even able to color my White Scrappers Floss the right shade of green!
